Our Incense Cedar seedlings (Calocedrus decurrens) are carefully grown at our small, family-run nursery with a strong focus on healthy root development and hardy, transplant-ready trees. Each seedling measures approximately 8”–14” tall and comes with a well-established 6” root ball, giving it an excellent start when planted.

Native to the mountains of the western United States—ranging from southern Oregon through California and into parts of Nevada—Incense Cedar is a resilient and adaptable evergreen that thrives in a variety of conditions. It is especially well-known for its drought tolerance once established, making it a great choice for low-water landscapes and reforestation projects.

This beautiful conifer features soft, scale-like foliage and a naturally straight, pyramidal growth habit. As it matures, it develops a rich, reddish-brown bark and releases a pleasant, distinctive fragrance—hence the name “Incense Cedar.” It’s also highly valued for its resistance to pests and disease.

We take pride in growing our trees from seed and tending them by hand, ensuring each one is strong, healthy, and ready to thrive in its new home.
